Mask Series
After visiting Yorkshire Sculpture Park, I became fascinated by the work of Daniel Arsham, an artist who challenges our understanding of history and culture. Inspired by this experience, I created a series of face casts using my own face, reminiscent of ancient death masks found in museums. These masks were altered to achieve a weathered, archaeological appearance, as if they had been unearthed after thousands of years, despite being newly crafted. Through this process, my work invites viewers to question their perceptions of time, life, and identity.
